Top Shows and Movies I look forward to reviewing!

There is no particular order to this list. However, I am very excited to get to each of them. As you know this blog and my youtube channel are mostly based on the study and talk of Mythology – starting off with Greece and Roman myth, but I will include as many more myths, legends, and stories.

these are the top five tv shows or movies that I look forward to covering at some point in the future.

American Gods

This one was canceled, and honestly, I kinda understand why, but I was highly devastated. I hate it when shows get canceled without a proper send-off. I read the Neil Gaiman book and loved it. I was so excited about this show, but also I understand why people were not into it. maybe it was too bold, too philosophical in its message, or simply felt slow at times, but that was all part of the beauty of it.

Disney’s Hercules and the animated show

This one is either the quintessential or the top movie when it comes to the discussion of Greek myth in modern pop culture and how it is represented. it is one of my favorite movies and when I saw it as a kid it kinda solidified how I view the Greek gods, as in glowing and divine in a whole new way.

Blood of Zeus

I gotta admit, I have yet to see it, I tried seeing the first episode and didn’t love all the changes I was seeing from different myths, but I will give it a try and see how these myths and how the gods are represented in this show

The Classics

Hercules the Legendary Journeys, Xena, Jason, and the Argonauts, and many more…. these shows, these movies the classics the ones that for many became the view the cusp of Greek myth and lore in cinema and on their screens at home are some of the best stories ever. I look forward to revisiting each one and reviewing them and reacting to each one.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians, soon to be on Disney Plus

You all knew this one was going to be here. I am very excited about this show. I kinda have the movies as a… let’s just say they are a weird kind of guilty pleasure for me. I hate them, but I kinda love hating them, between the movies and reviewing each episode of this new show I am going to be very busy.

I am a teacher, a history researcher, and an explorer of mythology. I like to think of myself as a Hermit in a Monk's Library looking through volumes of stories and legends that I wish to share with the world.
